Welcome to the 2024-25 school year at Centre Mountain Lellum Middle School! I am excited and honoured to be starting my role as Principal at this beautiful school with a dedicated team of professionals who enjoy working and spending their days with middle school students. It will be our second September start, and this year we will see our first group of Gr. 8’s who have spent all their middle school years at Centre Mountain Lellum. I am very much looking forward to meeting all our students and working together with you, our Centre Mountain Lellum school community.
I have been an educator in SD62 for 30 years – as a middle school teacher, a Literacy Coordinator, and a Middle School Vice Principal. Middle school is where my heart is. As middle years educators at Centre Mountain Lellum, we all work very hard to ensure that each child feels a sense of belonging, connectedness, and safety. We strive to ensure each child has many opportunities to be engaged in meaningful and active learning. We take great care to create an inclusive learning environment that reflects the diverse community that we serve.
I believe our greatest successes are achieved when we all work together, where parents/guardians are involved in the school community. I will be sending home regular updates, so you are kept informed and connected to what is going on around our school. Should you have any questions, ideas, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me. I’m looking forward to all that the year holds in store for us!

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year at Centre Mountain Lellum. I feel very fortunate to work at this beautiful school and with the dedicated educators, especially middle school students.
My entire career in education has been working with middle school students. I was a teacher for ten years and this will be my thirteen year as a Vice Principal. I have taught each grade level, and this will be my 6th year as a Woodshop teacher.
I am a firm believer in experiencing all that middle school has to offer. Make the most of your three years at Centre Mountain Lellum: try something new, make new friends, connect with an adult.

I am so looking forward to another great year at Centre Mountain Lellum! I am so grateful to be able to learn and work in such an amazing school with incredible people.
I have had the opportunity to work in education in New Zealand, Calgary Alberta, the Lower Mainland, as well as here with SD62. I have taught and worked with all grades from kindergarten to grade 12 as a Classroom Teacher, an Indigenous Education Leader, Inclusive Education Leader, Head of Learning Strategies, and now as a Vice Principal. Through all of these experiences, I have to say, I love middle school. There is just something unique about this time, and our students are amazing human beings.
Through middle school I would offer this advice, come with curiosity, courage and openness – you never know what you will learn about yourself, and of others. So embrace each opportunity, connect with the people around you, our fabulous staff and seek out new adventures.
I am always available, so please feel free to come by should you have any questions.
